This page is about all the funny times we had with Richard or his Favourite stories he loved
Richard went to Duddley park and so did a famous football star and this is where one of Richard's favourite
stories comes out. The Famous footballer stole Richard's football and won't give it back until Richard's parent's went to
there house.
When Richard was moving house he had his brother Graham and Graham's family helping him move.Richard
and Graham went to bunnings and Richard had a TV box in the back of the ute. Richard got the empty box out and said to Kym
( Graham's wife) look at my new Tv I just bought then he droped the box and made out that he had just smashed his new
TV Kym's face was priceless.
Richard use to go out fishing a lot in Graham's dingy Richard caught five dewies to Graham's one Graham
was spewing that he had been out fished in his own boat and whenever we talked to Richard about boats he said Graham already
bought him a boat.
One Christmas (when Tammie and Richard were young), Mum and Dad gave Richard and I some pocket money
so we could go and buy some presents. We went shopping and Richard found this really cool water gun that
he liked, so he bought it. He then realised that he didn’t have any money left to buy Mum and Dad
a present so he found a packet of lifesavers in the pantry and wrapped them up inside an empty toilet roll.
When we were helping Richard move into his new house him and Graham had drunk a lot and Richard
was crawling on the floor to see how far he could without the sercurity light going off.
Richard gave nicknames to the remote places swispec sent him. when filling out the work whiteboard
he would come up with a unique name for where he was heading. Eneabba had a lot of different names ' Any Yabba Do'
was one, but his favourite was "stay broke island", his nickname for North stradbrike island in Queensland just off Brisbane.
" stay broke island' got it's nickname after Richard spent three expensive days on the goldcoast at the Indi cars.
While on stradbroke Dickie (Richard) worked with the site electrical supervisor, Richard Bancilon.
They soon learnt that Richard Bancilon didn't like being called "Dickie", one day Richard Bancilon was chatting to Dickie
and asked him, " Don't you hate being called Dickie?" Dickie responded "it's better than my other nickname, Pappy". "Pappy?"
asked Richard Bancilon " Yeah pappy Smeares!!" said Dickie.
Swispec stayed at the Gingin Hotel while commissioning the Iluka Gingin minesite. Dickie and Smithy
shared a room next door to Gards and one night after "swapping" some cereal, Dickie hid an alarm clock under Gard's bed. Dickie
abd Smithy got up early to listen but at 5:30am the alarm wen off as a rooster crowing under Gard's bed. Unfortunatley
it ran out of steam before Gard's could find it. to tell everyone. |
